This book is a worthy companion to volume one. The author discusses classical tube circuits while adding new-age "tweaks" to peak amplifier performance. I've already purchased the third volume and own about half of his training DVDs. I own many of the "new age" books on tubes and this is the best series so far.
Most excellent book for the tube amp DIY. I have build a lot of amps before I purchase this book, and I will say it made me understand what I did even better. It's not so technical written that you get burn out reading , but very layman's written which will take you to advance level, simply.
The second best of the three books
Great book.
This is a terrific publication, if your into tube audio this is the book you need. I have volume one as well. Both books are really well set out, going from basic electrical theory to how tubes and associated circuits work. Igor Popovich has an excellent way of explaining even the more complex designs. I have built some of the tube amplifiers from these books with fantastic results. I could not speak more highly of this book and would recommend both publications to anyone who has an interest in the wonderful world of tube audio. Brett Edwards
